The t-shirt

I made a spontaneous addition of a couple of J.Crew tees to my stash during a trip to Florida when my clean t-shirt supply hit rock bottom. And let me tell you, the cotton softness was a real standout - again! These tees were chunkier than the Suit Supply tees, more on par with the Uniqlo crew, but managed to pack in a lot more softness. Regrettably, I only snagged a pair of these in Navy v-neck. In hindsight, I really should've hoarded a few more, considering how much I've relished strutting around in them.

Now, here's the bummer: I can't seem to locate this exact tee on the official J.Crew website. The closest match I can rustle up is the "Broken-in" variant, but it's playing coy about the type of cotton it's made from.

Verdict

It's still early days for these J-Crew tees, so let's hit the pause button on any final verdicts for now. But even at this stage, I can feel a shift in the cottony cosmos. They're losing some of that initial softness, and they're not quite on par with the Suit Supply tees in the softness stakes, despite being the new kids on the block. We'll circle back to this, folks.
